"When the Library Is More Than Just Books" family gathering – Happy Healthy Family, Confident Children project

The program began with an interactive storytime featuring the Vietnamese children's book “Happy Flight”, followed by the language game "I'm Packing My Suitcase", which helped children strengthen their memory while expanding their Vietnamese vocabulary. Children also enjoyed active play, learned the art of origami, and created handmade bookmarks. In addition to the children's activities, families had the opportunity to explore and borrow nearly 200 Vietnamese-language books, as well as a collection of German–Vietnamese bilingual books available at the library. The event not only encouraged children to develop a love of reading but also introduced families to the resources of Berlin's public library system, creating meaningful opportunities to preserve the Vietnamese language and culture while growing up in a multilingual environment.
