The “Healthy Families, Confident Children” Project – A Family Gathering for Vietnamese Families in Berlin

Café8TV, in collaboration with the fitte Familie – Happy Healthy Family, Confident Children project (part of the Flat-family Beratungszentrum Fennpfuhl), organizes family gatherings for Vietnamese families in Berlin, offering a variety of educational and recreational activities in a warm, community-oriented environment. The program provides children with opportunities to learn Vietnamese while developing social and creative skills through activities such as singing and movement with the song "Naming Our Feelings", interactive storytime featuring the children's book "The Little Bear Who Loved to Scare", team games, and hands-on crafts including bookmark making and paper folding. Alongside the children's activities, parents can connect with one another, exchange parenting experiences, and browse a community library of Vietnamese books to borrow and enjoy with their children at home. More than just a family event, the gathering creates meaningful opportunities for Vietnamese families to strengthen community bonds while fostering children's connection to the Vietnamese language and cultural heritage in a multilingual environment. After the July gathering, the family activities organized by Flat-family Beratungszentrum Fennpfuhl will return in September 2026 with more opportunities for children and families to learn, play, and connect.
